The Zolani Youth Choir, founded in 2012 by Odwa Mvunge in Ashton, Western Cape, offers young voices a platform for musical growth, discipline, and purpose. Comprising 65 singers, many without formal training, the choir instils values of teamwork and dedication. In 2024, they won the Grand Prix at the A Cappella Moscow Music Competition. The choir aims to elevate South African choral music, empowering youth and promoting community upliftment through the universal language of music. The choir will perform at the festivals’ Opening Ceremony.
