PACT Youth Development
The Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) empowers local youth through ongoing skills training covering a range of focuses such as event management, hospitality, and media. Each year, young leaders identified at our PACT Indaba embark on a journey of personal growth and practical experience, culminating in Journey to Jazz – a festival they crew and help bring to life.
This vibrant event showcases their talents and acts to expand PACT’s impact across Prince Albert, Leeu Gamka, and Klaarstroom.
The work of PACT in Prince Albert is led by a team of dynamic young leaders who manage the various venues and projects, playing a crucial role in the successful implementation of Journey to Jazz!
Our Patron, Prof. Thuli Madonsela summed it up best when she said, “My colleague Diane and I had an extraordinary time at the #JourneyToJazz festival in Prince Albert. Well done to PACT, it’s founder Ingrid Wolfaardt, Brenda Sisane and the fantastic young leaders of PACT, Prince Albert village and all collaborators. The music!”
