Their work spans film, publishing, theatre, and music, driven by a commitment to uplifting South Africa’s Indigenous First Nation heritage.
Founders of The MoZe Group, they are passionate about literature as well as documenting and celebrating traditional music and stories. Their latest projects, OERLIED-Koorliedboek (2024) and RIELRITME-Musiekboek (2025), preserve Indigenous folk and riel music through transcriptions, translations, and historical context. Their film work includes RIEL (2023), an internationally acclaimed short film, and HELMHART (2023), the first Gothic romance and ghost story to premiere at kykNET Silwerskermfees.
Join us at Journey to Jazz 2025 for a special screening of RIEL and a conversation with two of the actors, Annie Hendriks and Dora Sass. The PA Vastrappers will also perform on the evening. (language: Afrikaans).
