Conservation Walk: Gordon Koppie
2 May 2026 07:30
R200
The Gordon Koppie walk follows a circular route along the trail up onto the koppie and to the viewpoint at the beacon. We will experience the koppie’s fauna, flora, geology, some cultural history, and views of Prince Albert and surrounds. The walk is relatively easy, and we will take approximately two hours.
MEETING PLACE: Walkers meet the guide at the Renu-Karoo Nursery shop opposite the Police Station in the main road of Prince Albert. Please arrive 10 minutes before the starting time and bring your vehicle or arrange a lift with other walkers, because the start of the walk is a few kilometres from the meeting place. In addition to walking shoes bring a jacket, hat and binoculars and camera.
